Massage care that starts by listening
A motor vehicle accident can affect how your body feels and moves, even when the collision seemed minor. Soreness may appear right away or become more noticeable over the following days. Your first session at Koena Massage begins with a conversation about what happened, which areas are bothering you, and what your healthcare providers have recommended.
Massage after an accident is not one standard routine. Techniques and pressure are adjusted to your symptoms, tolerance, and stage of recovery. The goal is thoughtful, responsive care—not forcing sensitive tissue or working beyond what feels safe and useful.
When should MVA massage begin?
There is no single waiting period that is right for everyone. Seek appropriate medical evaluation after a collision, especially if you have new, severe, or concerning symptoms. Ask your doctor or other qualified provider whether massage is appropriate for your specific injuries and care plan.
Some clients are cleared for gentle massage early in recovery, while others need imaging, additional evaluation, or treatment first. When massage is appropriate, the approach can evolve as your symptoms and movement change.
Doctor referrals and car-insurance coverage
If you have a doctor's referral, motor vehicle accident massage can often be billed to your car insurance and may be paid through an eligible open claim. Bring your referral along with your claim number and adjuster information so the necessary details can be reviewed.
Coverage, authorization, and billing requirements vary by insurer and claim. Confirm your benefits with your insurance company or claims adjuster before beginning care so you understand what your claim will pay.
Massage pricing
Private-pay appointments are $95 for a 60-minute massage and $135 for a 90-minute massage. These prices apply to therapeutic, deep tissue, sports, and self-pay MVA sessions.
